Raphaela Leo
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

 

Degree: certified Kindergarten and early childhood teacher, earned my degree in 2012 from the Academy of Kindergarten Pedagogy in Vienna and I am currently working on a bachelor in German from UNT.

Hobbies: I enjoy baking, hiking, swimming, reading, playing guitar & piano, traveling, skiing and ice skating.

Simone Teague
ELEMENTARY TEACHER / ASSISTAN DIRECTOR
Degree: Certified Social Pedagogue and Social Worker with a Bachelor from the University of Applied Sciences in Wuerzburg/Germany (2002)
Experience: Work experience in various fields, including working as a Social Worker in the area of child and youth welfare, in homeless shelters with teenagers and young adults, as well as special education and curative education. I worked in an after-school care center for children 6 to 16 years. And was an in-home daycare provider for children 12 months to 10 years and worked close together with the Youth Welfare office.
Before moving to Texas, I worked in a residential home for children and young adults.
I started working at German ISD in August 2013 as a pre-school lead teacher, as a lead teacher in the toddler class, as well as the pre-k class.
I am the Kindergarten/Lower Elementary teacher since the beginning of the school year 2020/21.
Hobbies: spending time with my family, traveling, crafting and crocheting.
My Courses: Finki, Entenland (early math program for pre-s), Kids-Fit, Zahlenland (early math program for pre-k), Buchstala (German language program pre-K)

Dominika Holdys
ART / MUSIC TEACHER
Degree: Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Police and Administration in Kassel, Germany (graduated in 2014)

Experience: For the past four years, I have been working in Community Outreach and Education on the municipal government level, which also involved programs for children ages four and up.
Other previous work experience consists of customer service in Germany and the US, private violin lessons, and employment by the Hessian (state in Germany) government.
I received about 10 years of music training at the music school "Mannheim" and "Ludwigshafen" (Germany) including violin and viola lessons, theory lessons, as well as being part of the school's chamber and symphony orchestra, and string quartet for 5 years.
Hobbies: Spending time with family, friends and my dog, mountain biking, hiking, camping, traveling, music.
